DeSantis to deliver keynote address at Heritage leadership summit

Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida will be giving a keynote speech about policy at the Heritage Foundation’s 50th leadership summit in April.

DeSantis is expected to focus on his conservative policy agenda called the “Florida Blueprint,” and deliver a major policy speech to conclude Heritage’s two-day annual event on April 21. This event will feature numerous prominent conservative speakers, as well as Republican members of Congress.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said, “Conservatives are craving a bold and visionary leader who gets things done – and that’s exactly what Gov. Ron DeSantis has accomplished in Florida.”

The summit will also feature other notable guests such as Governor Glenn Youngkin of Virginia and Tucker Carlson of Fox News. It will take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland between April 20-21.

Last year, former President Donald Trump gave the keynote address at this summit. At present, Trump is leading the 2024 GOP primary polls, while DeSantis is rumoured to be considering a presidential bid as well.

DeSantis’s keynote speech at the Heritage Foundation’s summit is part of his ongoing efforts to boost his political profile, following his recent travels to early primary states such as Iowa, Nevada, and possibly South Carolina.
