Bud Light Exec’s Urgent Statement: ‘Three Key Actions’ Revealed
Anheuser-Busch CEO Addresses Boycott and Vows to Protect Jobs
In a public statement on Thursday, Anheuser-Busch’s CEO addressed the ongoing boycott of his brand and made a commitment to safeguard jobs affected by its former partnership with a transgender influencer.
The CEO did not directly mention the controversial Dylan Mulvaney partnership, but instead acknowledged that the discussion surrounding the Bud Light brand had shifted away from beer.
Brendan Whitworth, in a statement titled “Anheuser-Busch Announces Support For Frontline Employees And Wholesaler Partners,” expressed concern for the impact the situation has had on consumers, business partners, and employees.
Whitworth emphasized, “We are a beer company, and beer is for everyone.”
While he did not address the specific reason behind the boycott or offer an apology, Whitworth announced that Bud Light would launch a new campaign to appeal to beer drinkers and take steps to protect employees caught in the crossfire of the brand’s involvement in the culture war.
Three Important Actions
Whitworth outlined three significant actions the company would take to move forward:
- Investing to protect the jobs of frontline employees.
- Providing financial assistance to independent wholesalers to support their employees.

The CEO then urged consumers to view the brand from a historical perspective, emphasizing Bud Light as a fun and “easy” beer to drink.
Whitworth concluded the statement by stating, “As we move forward, we will focus on what we do best — brewing great beer and earning our place in moments that matter to you. Here’s to a future with more cheers.”
The release of this statement coincided with another week of declining sales for Bud Light, as it was surpassed by Modelo as America’s best-selling beer.
According to The Associated Press, Modelo currently holds 8.4 percent of the U.S. market in sales, while Bud Light accounts for 7.3 percent.
Despite the challenges, Anheuser-Busch remains committed to its mission and aims to regain its position in the market.
