Devon Archer claims Burisma hired Hunter Biden to build his image and intimidate rivals.
Former Biden Family Business Partner Reveals Hunter Biden’s Role at Burisma
During a recent interview with the House Oversight Committee, Devon Archer, a former business partner of the Biden family, shed light on Hunter Biden’s involvement with Ukrainian energy company Burisma. According to Archer, Hunter was hired to develop the firm’s brand and intimidate potential opponents.
Archer emphasized the importance of the Biden name, stating that Burisma might have faced financial difficulties without the brand attached to it. He explained that Hunter’s high-powered political connections played a significant role in keeping the company afloat.
When questioned about the impact of hiring Hunter Biden, Archer highlighted the ability to navigate Washington, D.C. and the intimidation factor it brought. He stated that people would be hesitant to mess with Burisma legally due to the Biden family’s influence.
It’s worth noting that Hunter Biden received excessive compensation for his position on Burisma’s board, despite lacking prior experience in the energy industry. His monthly earnings exceeded $83,000, while his father, Joe Biden, served as the Obama administration’s point man on Ukraine.
Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s business dealings is also under scrutiny. Records indicate that he interacted with Hunter’s associates at least 20 times, often speaking to them on speakerphone. This contradicts previous denials from Democrats regarding Joe Biden’s involvement.
Archer further elaborated on the power of these calls, stating that hearing the vice president’s voice during a conversation with a foreign business person was highly impactful. He emphasized that having such access and influence within the family was the pinnacle of power in Washington, D.C.
The transcripts of Archer’s testimony highlight Joe Biden’s instrumental role in enriching his family through overseas business dealings. However, Democrats have downplayed the significance of these calls, claiming they were merely discussions about the weather.
