New Adventureland Treehouse coming to Disneyland this fall!
Disneyland’s Adventureland Treehouse Set to Reopen with Magical Upgrades
Get ready for an exciting adventure at Disneyland’s Adventureland Treehouse! After a nearly two-year refurbishment, the treehouse, previously known as Tarzan’s Treehouse, is reopening this fall with a brand new theme.
The Disney Parks blog recently announced that a family with “magical and unique gifts” will be moving into the treehouse once the renovations are complete. Located next to the Indiana Jones ride, the treehouse will feature newly re-themed rooms where kids can climb rope stairways and giant branch bridges.

The new treehouse will pay homage to Disney’s original ”Swiss Family Robinson” treehouse, which was built in 1962. The treehouse underwent a Tarzan-themed makeover in 1999, inspired by Disney’s animated film about a boy raised by apes.
According to a recent story in the Orange County Register, the scaffolding and tarps covering the 80-foot-tall treehouse have been removed, revealing the structure after two years of anticipation. The company is now putting the finishing touches on the new water wheel system.
While the opening date has not been announced yet, Disney fan bloggers from MiceChat shared their excitement, stating, “The treehouse is all but done. There is just some fine-tuning going on with the water wheel system, and then they’ll hopefully be able to announce an opening date.”
In addition to its reopening, the treehouse is also tied to a new Swiss Family Robinson television show coming to Disney+. Each room in the treehouse represents a family member’s unique gift. For example, the teenage daughter’s room will showcase her passion for astronomy, while the music-loving mother’s room will feature a den filled with musical instruments.
The father’s room will be a culinary masterpiece, with a kitchen where meals cook themselves using “magical water” fed by a wheel. Visitors can also explore a nature-themed animal and plant room, inspired by the family’s twin boys and their love for wildlife.
Don’t miss out on this enchanting experience! Stay tuned for the official opening date of the Adventureland Treehouse at Disneyland.
