Teens Attack Marines on Beach in Disturbing Video.
Shocking Video Shows Mob of Teens Attacking Marines on Beach
A group of up to 40 teens attacked two Marines who were enjoying their Memorial Day weekend on a beach in Southern California. The incident occurred in San Clemente, Orange County, where the teens were shooting off fireworks near a pier. When one of the Marines politely asked them to stop, he was punched from behind, and the group unleashed on the pair. The Marines were kicked and stomped on repeatedly by the mob once they were on the ground. A video of the attack was posted on the San Clemente Life Facebook page.
“This is considered an assault with a deadly weapon because of the amount of suspects we are investigating,” said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Frank Gonzalez. “The weapons that were used were their feet while these victims were on the ground. So, regardless if the victims choose prosecution or choose medical attention, the sheriff’s department is going to investigate this to the fullest and try to determine who the suspects are.”
The Marines were with a third service member who was not attacked. Investigators are pouring over video from cameras near the scene of the attack to identify the attackers. Neither of the Marines suffered significant injuries. San Clemente Mayor Chris Duncan is also helping to identify the attackers.
