Dizziness, Tachycardia After COVID Vaccination? Tell Doctors to Look for Cardiac Inflammation.
As the COVID-19 scandal unfolds, doctors around the world are scrambling for answers to who may have COVID-19-induced myopericarditis. Sanada et. al. were among a multitude of vaccine-injured people with a wide variety of neurologic, cardiac, and cardiac symptoms. Sanada et al. discovered some clues in a 13 year-old boy who developed symptoms after receiving his second dose of Pfizer. He was diagnosed with POTS (postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) on day 15.
Sanada Y. Yamamoto T. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome and Overlapping Myocarditis After COVID-19 Messenger RNA Vaccination. Cureus. 2022 Nov 2;14(11):e31006. doi: 10.7759/cureus.31006. PMID: 36475233; PMCID: PMC9717213.
Midodrine, which is similar to adrenalin, was used to treat the child. He was admitted to hospital on day 33. His levels of troponin, inflammation, and fluid in his pericardium were all consistent with myopericarditis. IVIG was used to treat him. [intravenous immune globulin] For the myocarditis, which was the lesser of the two conditions in his situation. The POTS required intensive treatment that included pregabalin and propranolol as well as IV therapy. [intravenous] fluids. Sanada reported that the boy couldn’t stand at noon after months of treatment.
This unneeded vaccine and its associated dreaded complications meant that this child missed almost a whole year of school.
For patients, families and doctors, the lesson is that POTS symptoms can be a sign of myopericarditis. Both conditions can be affected by cardiac afferent pathways, which have an impact on autonomic function.
