Biden’s health has ‘improved significantly’ after COVID-19 diagnosis, doctor says

President Joe Biden’s health appears to be on the road to a full recovery after the latest update from his doctor.

Biden, who decided not to run for reelection for president on Sunday, was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week and has been recovering at his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. A recent letter from Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin C. O’Connor, revealed that the president’s health has improved significantly.

“President Biden completed his eighth dose of Paxlovid this morning. His symptoms have improved significantly,” O’Connor wrote in a letter, dated July 21. “His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature remain absolutely normal. His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear.”

Biden reportedly contracted the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) KP.2.3 variant, according to O’Connor. This variant is responsible for “approximately 12.8% of all the COVID-19 cases in the United States.” O’Connor previously incorrectly reported that the variant was responsible for approximately a third of all new cases.

O’Connor said that the Biden is healthy enough to continue to perform all of his presidential responsibilities.
