DOJ silently deletes child sex trafficking info from site.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has made a concerning move by removing crucial sections from its website related to child sex trafficking. These sections provided valuable information about both domestic and international child sex trafficking, including details about U.S. minors being recruited and exploited in the commercial sex industry.

In the past, the DOJ’s website contained detailed information about “International Sex Trafficking of Minors,” “Domestic Sex Trafficking of Minors,” and “Child Victims of Prostitution.” However, these sections have now been completely erased from the updated version of the webpage.

These sections were added during President Donald Trump’s tenure to educate Americans about the tactics used by pimps and human traffickers to target vulnerable children. They highlighted the psychological manipulation techniques employed to lure children into prostitution and other forms of sexual exploitation.

Unfortunately, the DOJ’s recent revision of the website removed these important sections, raising concerns about the current administration’s commitment to combating child sex trafficking.

Response

Unsurprisingly, the move to remove these sections has drawn criticism. Roger Severino, the Vice President of Domestic Policy at the Heritage Foundation, stated that this is a typical action taken by Democrat-led administrations. He noted that Republican administrations tend to allocate more resources to combat child and human sex trafficking, while Democratic administrations often pull back on these efforts, considering them less important.

Severino also highlighted the rigorous review process that any changes to the DOJ’s website undergo, suggesting that the decision to remove these sections was not made lightly.

Furthermore, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna linked the DOJ’s move to a New York Times report that revealed the Department of Health and Human Services had lost contact with thousands of unaccompanied alien children who may have fallen victim to child smuggling and labor operations.

Ms. Luna pointed out that the DOJ specifically deleted a section that implicated the Biden Administration’s open-border policies in relation to the sex trafficking of children. This section highlighted the cross-border transportation of children for the purpose of sexual exploitation in another country.

The DOJ’s decision to distance itself from the issue of sex trafficking raises concerns about the current administration’s priorities and commitment to protecting vulnerable children.
