While Vice President Kamala Harris slow rides her campaign, the Trump campaign is speeding up its race to push supporters to vote early in key battleground states, according to Donald Trump Jr.
“I’m not going to take it for granted,” he told Secrets.
“I always run like we’re two points behind, you know, I sort of joke, I’m a third monkey in line for the Ark, and it’s starting to rain, and that’s what we have to do for the next 13 days,” he said.
Former President Donald Trump has seen his lead over Vice President Kamala Harris widen to 2 or 3 points in a new batch of polls, but that remains in the margin of error. As a result, he has stepped up the number of events and interviews on his schedule.
Surrogates such as Trump Jr. have piled on the events to reach new Trump supporters. Trump Jr. was in Arizona yesterday, pin-balling between events, when he called Secrets.

“I’m in Arizona right now, doing like six events today, and I was in North Carolina last week doing it. Even some of our low- and mid-propensity voters are turning out in droves early, and that’s a really big deal,” he said.
At rallies, Trump Jr. said that the former president and surrogates are seeing more than just strong supporters, indicating that the effort to expand the MAGA base is working.
“I see it myself on the ground, as the person who was probably on the ground more than anyone doing rallies and getting public sentiment, you know, the third time around this time, I’ve never seen anything like it. And again, it’s not just the usual guy in a MAGA hat. It’s every demographic, every walk of life, everything,” Trump Jr. said, adding, “They understand that they’re not falling for the nonsense anymore, and they are highly motivated for change, and it’s just a great feeling again.”
The former president’s son also dismissed the anti-military charges leveled by former Trump White House Chief of Staff and retired Gen. John Kelly, noting that his claims have been challenged by dozens of other former Trump staffers and brass.
“What a bureaucratic clown,” Trump Jr. said of Kelly. “No one believes these guys anymore. And that’s the reality. They’ve seen the lies, all of the lies that failed, all of them.”

He said that voters are much more focused on their own lives and what Trump and Harris are offering to help their bottom line.
“Everyone now, Paul, knows where they are. They realize it’s harder to get by. It costs them thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars a year more, just to maintain what they had under Trump. You had four years under the Harris-Biden administration — she said herself she wouldn’t do anything differently,” Trump Jr. said. “So we can continue this, or we can have peace and prosperity as we had under Trump. We went from peace to war. We went from prosperity to poverty. People don’t want that. They get it. They feel it each and every day.”
