House Intelligence Committee Chairman Raises Concerns Over Handling of Classified Documents

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) recently expressed his concerns regarding the handling of classified documents by former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. During an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, Turner compared both situations and emphasized the gravity of Trump’s storage of the documents.

“I can tell you from having looked at both of those documents, I have grave concerns about both of those types of documents being out in an unsecured place,”

Turner highlighted that both sets of documents contained sensitive national security information that should have been kept within a controlled environment. He stressed the importance of safeguarding such information to prevent any potential risks.

Trump was recently indicted, and the charges were unsealed by the Justice Department shortly after. Despite maintaining his innocence, the former president entered a not-guilty plea in the classified documents case at a federal courthouse in Miami last week.

Turner, who has been briefed by the DOJ on both cases, continues to closely monitor the investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents during his tenure as vice president.
