Former First Son Donald Trump Jr. Escorted Out of Republican Debate Spin Room
Donald Trump Jr., a passionate defender of his father, former President Donald Trump, attended the debate with the purpose of representing his father’s team in the trump-jr-escorted-away-from-republican-debate-spin-room/" title="Donald Trump Jr. removed from GOP debate spin room.”>post-debate spin room. However, Fox News had set specific criteria, allowing only aides of the candidates onstage or representatives of other media outlets to enter the spin room. As a result, the former first son was denied entry by security.

Speaking with reporters at the debate, he expressed his disappointment, stating that Fox News was attempting to “ban people from actually having discourse about politics,” a situation that should not come as a surprise to anyone. Kimberly Guilfoyle, his partner, chimed in, calling it “un-American.”
Trump then accused the debate organizers of trying to undermine his father’s campaign, using this incident as an example of why the former president made the right decision not to attend. “It’s beneath him,” Trump Jr. asserted. “When you know you’re walking into a setup like this, you understand exactly what’s going on.”
“This is no different than what we see from the Democrats,” he added. “It’s no different than what we’re seeing from the Fulton County DA when they try to put a gag order on Donald Trump, preventing him from defending himself in court proceedings. It’s an intimidation tactic for anyone else who would dare to defend him.”

The former first son also emphasized that the decision to bar him from the spin room posed a threat to democracy.
Earlier in the week, his father had decided not to attend the debate after much speculation. The candidates onstage included Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND), former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
