President Joe Biden Breaks Protocol at Press Briefing

During a⁤ recent White House press briefing, President Joe ⁤Biden made a request to the attendees: not to mention that he wasn’t wearing a face mask. As he ascended the stage to the presidential dias, Biden⁤ pulled out a black mask from his pocket, but before putting it ⁤on, ⁢he assured everyone that he had tested negative for⁤ the coronavirus.

Biden explained that⁣ he was following orders to wear⁣ a ‍mask for 10 days after the coronavirus diagnosis of first lady Jill Biden. He jokingly added, “But they keep telling me, because it has to be 10 days or⁣ something, I gotta keep wearing‌ them. But don’t‍ tell them‍ I didn’t have it on when‌ I walked in. Alright?”

However, for the rest⁢ of the news conference, Biden refused to wear a mask. He discussed negotiations ‌between international shipping companies and the International Longshore and Warehouse ⁤Union,‍ disregarding the mask requirement.

These remarks have ‍raised questions about ‍who is in charge of Biden’s personal health measures. ⁢Some wonder if he was being entirely serious during his mask monologue.

It’s not the first time Biden has suggested that he requires permission from other governmental⁣ figures for certain actions. In the past, he expressed his‌ desire to visit Ukraine in 2022 but⁢ claimed that⁢ the Secret⁢ Service had forbidden ‍it. However, no federal official or agency has the authority to mandate the president wear a mask‍ without his consent or dictate his travel plans.

While some officials like Dr. Anthony Fauci express concerns about mask mandates, a comprehensive analysis of scientific studies led by University of Oxford epidemiologist Tom Jefferson concluded that mask mandates were ineffective at preventing⁢ the‍ spread ⁢of coronavirus.
