Senate Majority Whip Questions Decision to Relax Senate Dress Code
Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) is raising concerns about the recent decision by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to loosen the Senate floor dress code.
“I’m concerned about it,” Mr. Durbin expressed during a recent interview with Sirius XM radio show “The Briefing with Steve Scully.”
Mr. Schumer’s decision to relax the dress code policy has been widely seen as a move to accommodate Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), who recently returned to the Senate after undergoing treatment for major depression.
