East Palestine Mayor: Biden ‘Doesn’t Care About Us’
The mayor of East Palestine in Ohio said that President Joe Biden was his patron “doesn’t care about” His residents referred to the president’s trip to Ukraine as a relief visit instead of their devastated town. “the biggest slap in the face.”
“I found that out this morning in one of the briefings that he was in Ukraine giving billions of dollars away to people over there and not to us,” Mayor Trent Conaway Telled Fox News. “I’m furious.”
Biden paid a surprise visit Monday to Kyiv where he promised an additional $500 million in assistance during meetings with Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president. Biden has yet to visit East Palestine, as the country is still recovering from the Feb. 3 train crash that resulted in the release of toxic chemicals into its air. Nearly 4800 people in the town were evacuated within hours of the accident and the resulting fire.
Biden isn’t the only one who has been accused of trying to avoid domestic problems. In January, he made his first visit to the southern border after overseeing two consecutive years of record-breaking illegal immigration.
Five days after the train crashed, officials gave the all clear to return. However, residents are worried about the safety and security of the town’s water supply and air quality after several animals were killed in the aftermath.

Donald Trump, former president, plans to visit East Palestine Wednesday. Truth Social posted that the residents were “great people who need help, NOW!”
Norfolk Southern, which owns the train that was unable to stop, has pledged a million dollars to help the community recover.
