According to Bloomberg, Elon Musk has regained his title as the world’s richest person with a net worth of over $200 billion. This year alone, Musk’s net worth has increased by more than $55.3 billion, largely due to the success of Tesla, which makes up 71 percent of his wealth. However, Musk’s return to the top has been overshadowed by a new controversy. According to CNBC, Twitter’s vice president of trust and safety, Ella Irwin, quit last week, followed by the head of brand safety and ad quality, A.J. Brown, and program manager Maie Aiyed. This came after Musk’s decision not to ban a video called “What Is a Woman” from the platform, which sparked outrage among some Twitter employees and users.

Despite the backlash, Musk defended his decision, stating on Twitter that “not using someone’s preferred pronouns is at most rude and certainly breaks no laws.” Musk’s comments have reignited the debate over free speech and censorship on social media platforms.
