Elon Musk Blames “Woke Mind Virus” on Lack of Parental Awareness

During an interview with Bill Maher on HBO’s “Real Time,” Twitter CEO Elon Musk shared his thoughts on the spread of the so-called “woke mind virus.” According to Musk, the reason behind this phenomenon is the lack of awareness among parents regarding what their children are being taught in public schools.

Musk believes that the amount of indoctrination happening in schools and universities is far beyond what parents realize. He stated, “The experience that we had in high school and college is not the experience that kids today are having, and hasn’t been for, I don’t know, 10 years, maybe 20.”

When Maher asked if parents were a big part of the problem, Musk responded, “Well, I suppose in some cases…but I think the parents are just generally not aware of what their kids are being taught, or what they’re not being taught.”

Musk shared an example of a friend whose daughters attend high school in the Bay Area. When asked about the first few presidents of the United States, they could only name Washington and knew that he was a slave owner. Musk believes that children should be taught more than just surface-level information about historical figures.
