Elon Musk Welcomes Third Child, Reveals Name in Exciting Announcement
Elon Musk, the renowned tech executive, made a surprising revelation on Saturday that he and singer Grimes have welcomed their third child. This exciting news comes just days before the highly anticipated release of the Walter Isaacson biography on Musk, set to hit the shelves on Tuesday.
In a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Musk shared the unique name of their newest addition – Techno Mechanicus, affectionately nicknamed “Tau.” This announcement has sparked curiosity and excitement among fans and followers.
A Growing Family
Musk now has a total of 11 children, with 10 known surviving children from previous relationships. His first children were with his ex-wife Justine Wilson, including twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian. However, they also experienced the heartbreaking loss of their first child after 10 weeks in 2002.
In 2020, singer Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, gave birth to Musk’s son named X AE A-XII Musk, with ”X” as a first name. The couple then welcomed a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl Musk in December 2021, born via surrogacy. However, the baby’s name was later changed to “Y” before being discovered by a Vanity Fair reporter during an interview with Grimes.

A Tweet Sparks Controversy
Just weeks before the birth of their daughter, Musk had twins with Shivon Zilis, director of operations and special projects at Neuralink, Musk’s brain chip company. However, a since-deleted tweet from Grimes hinted at conflict between her and Zilis.
In response to a tweet from Isaacson sharing a photo of Musk, Zilis, and their twins at Zilis’ house, Grimes expressed frustration, claiming that Musk was preventing her from seeing her own son. The tweet, now deleted, pleaded for Zilis to unblock her and for Musk to allow her to see their child.
However, Grimes later clarified the situation in a social media post, stating that she had a productive conversation with Zilis and that they both want what’s best for their children. She emphasized the importance of women supporting each other and expressed her desire to keep her children out of the public eye for now.
Zilis responded positively, calling Grimes “a total bada**” and expressing excitement for future playdates between their kids.
A Secret No More
The couple’s third child, “Tau,” was born in mid-June 2022 but was kept a secret until the release of Isaacson’s book. While fans eagerly await more details about little Techno, Grimes has requested privacy for her babies during this time.
