Elon Musk says Harris ‘exceeded most people’s expectations’ in debate- Washington Examiner
Billionaire Elon Musk commented on Vice President Kamala Harris’s performance in a recent debate, stating she “exceeded most people’s expectations,” while criticizing her lack of action on her campaign promises. Musk, a supporter of former President Donald Trump, expressed concerns that the debate moderators were biased against Trump and suggested that Harris, despite her verbal assurances, has not implemented meaningful changes while effectively being in charge during Joe Biden’s absence. He urged voters to consider whether they wanted to continue current policies or seek change.
Musk also responded humorously to a recent endorsement of Harris by Taylor Swift, joking about offering Swift a child and playfully referencing a controversial claim made by Trump. The debate’s moderation faced criticism from others, including billionaire Bill Ackman and Rep. Elise Stefanik, who highlighted perceived bias in how facts were checked.
Trump supporter Elon Musk says Harris ‘exceeded most people’s expectations’ in debate
Billionaire Elon Musk contended that Vice President Kamala Harris “exceeded most people’s expectations” during Tuesday night’s debate, though questioned why she would not enact the change she is campaigning on.
Similar to many others who watched the debate, Musk argued the moderators, ABC News’s David Muir and Linsey Davis, were unfair toward former President Donald Trump. Despite this, he reiterated his support for Trump over Harris. Musk said the former president would accomplish things for the country instead of “just saying nice-sounding words.”
“After all, if Kamala can do great things, why hasn’t she?” Musk wrote on X. “Biden rarely shows up for work, so she’s basically in charge already. The question comes down to this: do you want current trends to continue for 4 more years or do you want change?”
While I don’t think the debate hosts were fair to @realDonaldTrump, @KamalaHarris exceeded most people’s expectations tonight.
That said, when it comes to getting things done, not just saying nice-sounding words, I strongly believe that Trump will do a far better job.

The billionaire also poked fun at musician Taylor Swift’s recent endorsement of Harris on Instagram, in which Swift described herself as a “childless cat lady.” Musk joked on X that he would give Swift a child of her own and would “guard your cats with my life,” a reference to Trump’s claim that Haitian migrants are eating cats and other pets in Springfield, Ohio.
Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life

Many criticized the moderator’s handling of the debate, with billionaire Bill Ackman questioning why they were only fact-checking Trump. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) also called the moderators “pro-Kamala activists” in the “3-on-1 debate.”
Why do the moderators only fact check @realDonaldTrump and not @KamalaHarris?

Shortly after, Harris’s campaign proposed debating Trump again, saying the vice president was “ready.” Trump adviser Jason Miller stated that Trump would do another debate on NBC on Sept. 25.
Fox News has also offered to conduct a hypothetical second presidential debate, which would feature Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum as moderators. The proposed dates for this debate would be either Oct. 9 in Arizona, Oct. 15 in Georgia, or Oct. 16 in North Carolina.
