Eric Swalwell Loses His Mind Over Trump Cat Memes
The article discusses a recent event involving Rep. Eric Swalwell during a House Judiciary Committee hearing that focused on the negative outcomes of the Biden-Harris administration’s border policies. Swalwell reportedly had a dramatic reaction to a meme shared by Committee Chair Jim Jordan, which depicted former President Donald Trump alongside a duck and kitten. In his remarks, Swalwell aggressively questioned Jordan’s mental state and attacked the absurdity of the meme during a serious discussion.
The meme referenced a bizarre claim made by a local resident concerning alleged incidents of Haitian nationals harming pets in a Springfield, Ohio park, which had raised community concerns amid a rising immigrant population in the area. Throughout the hearing, Swalwell attempted to pivot the conversation to denounce Jordan’s meme instead of addressing the serious testimonies from witnesses regarding border issues.
The article also touches on Swalwell’s controversies, including a past romantic relationship with a Chinese spy, which raises questions about his credibility when he expresses concern over foreign interference. The piece reflects a critical stance towards Swalwell, highlighting the juxtaposition of his past and present actions.
As if having a romantic escapade with a Chinese spy wasn’t embarrassing enough, Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., flushed what little dignity he had left down the toilet on Tuesday by throwing a tantrum over a meme of Donald Trump holding a duck and kitten.
The incident occurred during a House Judiciary Committee hearing highlighting the devasting consequences of the Biden-Harris administration’s open border policies. When given the chance to speak, Swalwell began his remarks by lashing out at Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, over an AI-generated meme posted by the Judiciary GOP’s X account showing Trump cuddling a duck and kitten.
“What in the hell is this?” Swalwell yelled, pointing at a display showcasing the meme to the audience. “The chairman tweets, ‘Protect our ducks and kittens in Ohio!’ because he goes down some crazy rabbit hole, completely debunked, that aliens are eating pets? My God! Are you okay, Mr. Chairman?”
The meme appears to reference allegations from a man in Springfield, Ohio, who claimed during a recent public meeting that Haitian nationals in the local park are “grabbing up ducks by their neck and cutting their head off and walking off with ’em and eating ’em.” An Ohio woman was charged last month for allegedly killing and eating a cat, although there’s no indication she’s a Haitian national, according to the New York Post.
A Haitian national was, however, detained by police in Springfield last year after he drove into a school bus, killing an 11-year-old and injuring 23 other students.
The reports come amid concerns from Springfield natives about a surge in the population of Haitian nationals in the city as the result of the Biden-Harris administration’s horrific immigration policies. As The Federalist’s John Daniel Davidson reported, “Harris herself has bragged [about how] some 300,000 Haitians were granted Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, by the Biden-Harris administration.”
Speaking to Jordan during Tuesday’s hearing, Swalwell attempted to feign concern for the witnesses testifying about the atrocities they’ve experienced as victims of the border invasion by attacking Jordan over the meme of Trump.
“I don’t know if the aliens who are eating your ducks are in the room with us right now, but Mr. Chairman, this is a serious issue,” the California whined.
Swalwell’s attempt to pretend to care about foreign interference in U.S. affairs is hard to take seriously considering the congressman got busted for having a fling with a Chinese Communist Party spy.
As my colleague Jordan Boyd previously noted, Swalwell “formed a close relationship with CCP spy Christine Fang, who spent the better part of 2011 to 2015 socializing, networking, campaigning, volunteering, fundraising, and developing romantic connections with Democrat politicians in California and Washington, D.C.” Commonly referred to as “Fang Fang,” this agent reportedly raised “millions” of dollars for Swalwell when he sat on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Central Intelligence Agency Subcommittee.
