Ericsson pleads guilty to U.S. charges after violating previous deal

(Reuters) – Sweden’s Ericsson agreed to pay $206 million and pleaded guilty in U.S. corruption trials after it violated a prior agreement with federal prosecutors. On Thursday, the U.S. Justice Department made this announcement.

After a scandal in which a telecommunications company may have made payments to the Islamic State, this plea is being offered.
