‘Every Opinion Has A Millennial Offended’: Kid Rock Releases Expletive-Laden New Song Criticizing Wokeness
On Friday, Kid Rock returned to his metal-rap roots with a profanity-heavy anthem against Wokeness, titled, “Don’t Tell Me How to Live.”
The song, which features backup from the Canadian country rock band Monster Truck, laments that the politically correct sensitivities that Americans thought were funny in the nineties are oppressing them and silencing their speech today:
Years ago, we all thought it was a joke, see?
That every kid got a motherf***ing trophy
But yo homie, here’s a situation
A nation of p***ies is our next generation
And these minions and their agendas
Every opinion has a millennial offended
But this amendment one, it rings true
And if it don’t descend b***h, then see number two
Ain’t nothing new, right church, wrong pew
Get a clue or prove your fake news and views
Can all kick the bottom of my mother***ing shoe
I’m the last of a few still screaming f**k you
Ain’t nobody gonna tell me how to live
To promote the single, Rock posted an image to Instagram of the Statue of Liberty wearing a mask. The 50-year-old singer, whose legal name is Robert Ritchie, strikes a similarly rebellious pose in the video which shows him wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words “social media sucks” and flipping off the camera as he flies over Mount Rushmore into outer space.
The defiant political incorrectness of the lyrics and imagery seems intended to send a message to the cancel mobs who have come after him in the past.
Back in June, social media users attacked him after he was caught on video using a slur that has been used to refer to gay men. Angry at audience members who were recording his performance at a bar in Tennessee, he had shouted, “ “You f***ing fa****s with your iPhones out!!!” In response to the criticism that followed, Rock doubled down, saying on Twitter, “If Kid Rock using the word fa***t offends you, good chance you are one.”
As The Daily Wire reported, in 2017, a group led by Al Sharpton tried to get Detroit’s Little Caesar’s arena to cancel his concert because he was quoted saying, “F*** Colin Kaepernick.”
The rocker has also slammed fellow celebrities like Taylor Swift for mouthing Democratic talking points, claiming she only does it because she “wants to be in movies.”
“Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period,” he said, adding, “Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl.”
Rock recently told the Detroit Free Press that he’s
" Conservative News Daily does not always share or support the views and opinions expressed here; they are just those of the writer."
