Ex-Cops Charged With Murdering Tyre Nichols Now Accused Of Beating Black Army Veteran
The five former soldiers are being sued by a man he claims to be a black Army veteran. MemphisPolice officers in Tennessee are charged with the murder of Tyre Nichols.
Monterrious Harris’ lawyers filed a suit in Tennessee federal court for $5 million in damages following the alleged violent encounter three days before Nichols was beat.

Defendants in the lawsuit include Demetrius Haley, Tadarrius Bean, Justin Smith, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr. — who are the same five black officers charged with second-degree murder in the fatal beating of Nichols, a black 29-year-old FedEx worker.
