On social media, she explained that leaving the network allowed her to exercise her First Amendment rights more freely. While acknowledging that her departure was not how she envisioned it, Steele expressed her belief that everything happens for a reason and that she is now in a place where she can stand up for herself.

In a previous interview, Steele expressed her frustration with the unequal treatment she experienced compared to her co-workers, particularly regarding differing rules based on political views. Steele’s lawsuit, which she settled in June 2023 for $501,000 and reasonable attorney fees, according to Front Office Sports, serves as a testament to her commitment to seeking justice and standing up for what she believes in.
