Devon Wylie, a former​ NFL ⁤receiver who played for multiple teams, has tragically ⁣passed away at the age of 35.

The news of Wylie’s ⁢untimely death was shared by his alma mater, Fresno State⁢ University, on social media.

KFSN-TV spoke to several former teammates who confirmed the tragic news.

No cause of death has been given.

Fresno State special​ teams ​coach John‌ Baxter expressed his grief over Wylie’s passing.

“This is a tremendous​ loss. ⁤Being someone’s Coach is a blessing beyond⁢ words and a hardwired lifetime relationship,” Baxter ‌posted. “This is a tragic loss beyond words. What a great Bulldog, brother, son, and teammate.

“We love you Devon Wylie!”

Wylie made a name for himself as ‍a standout receiver​ during his time at Fresno State from 2007 ‍to 2011.

Although⁣ his ‍offensive statistics may not reflect​ it, with ‍98 catches, 1,327 yards, and eight touchdowns, Wylie excelled as a dynamic kick returner under Baxter’s special teams coaching.

In ‌his senior⁣ year, Wylie ranked fifth in the nation⁣ in punt⁢ returns and scored electrifying touchdowns against ranked opponents.

His⁢ impressive performance led ‍to him being drafted in the‌ fourth round by the⁢ Kansas City Chiefs in the 2012 NFL draft.

After a season with the ​Chiefs, Wylie⁢ went on‍ to ​play​ for the Tennessee Titans and had stints in various NFL practice squads and the Canadian Football League.
