Explosive New Details Emerge from Jeffrey Epstein Lawsuit
New information from a lawsuit against Jeffrey Epstein has been brought forward revealing that JP Morgan Chase executives had knowledge of Epstein’s sex trafficking behavior. The bank allegedly knew of the accusations several years prior to cutting ties with the pedophile, according to a court filing. Epstein’s “client list” has yet to be released.
The complaint filed in the lawsuit against JP Morgan Chase states that the bank even obstructed federal officials from investigating Epstein. It is claimed that bank employees were familiar with Epstein’s actions that senior managers even joked about his interest in young girls, including Miley Cyrus in 2008 when she was still starring in the Disney TV series Hannah Montana.
Mary Erdoes, JPMorgan Chase asset management chief, admitted under oath that the bank was aware of the allegations against Epstein as far back as 2006. Filings state that “in 2010, JPMorgan compliance officials decided that Epstein ‘should go’.”
The U.S. Virgin Islands government recently revealed parts of the previously redacted lawsuit, which showed former JPMorgan executive Jes Staley’s relationship with Epstein. The government claims that the bank’s role in Epstein’s sex trafficking goes all the way to the top, including CEO Jamie Dimon.
JPMorgan, which was Epstein’s bank from 1998 to 2013, has denied any wrongdoing and filed a counteroffensive on the allegations, claiming that Jes Staley “concealed his personal activities” with Epstein. Roughly 1,000 email exchanges between Staley and Epstein from 2008 to 2012 were recently unsealed, some of which making references to Disney characters.
Epstein withdrew more than $775,000 in cash from JPMorgan accounts over the years and payments to women who were trafficked and abused ranged from 2003 to 2013, totaling over $1 million collectively, according to the unsealed lawsuit. Last year, the US Virgin Islands Attorney General filed a lawsuit against the bank for their financial links to Epstein and alleged that they had benefited from his sex trafficking activities while failing to report suspicious activity to authorities.
