The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a tragic small⁣ plane crash​ that claimed the lives of three individuals in southern Ohio over the ‌weekend.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), a Piper PA-32 airplane crashed near​ Jackson, Ohio, on​ Saturday at⁣ approximately 12:25 p.m. local time.

The plane went down in a field about a quarter-mile away from James⁤ A. Rhodes ⁤Airport.

Authorities have identified the victims as a father, his son, and a family friend​ who were on their way to ‍Florida to pick up a newly purchased vehicle​ when their small plane crashed shortly after takeoff in southeast Ohio.

The three victims, Daniel Baker ​(44), Zebulon Logan‌ (45), and Dan Baker (75), were the only people on board.
