Facebook Officially Reinstates Trump’s Account

Getty Images: Facebook and Instagram have banned the former president for over two years

A Facebook spokesperson confirmed that the official accounts of former president Donald Trump on Facebook and Instagram have been officially restored. Washington Free Beacon On Thursday.

Trump was also banned from Twitter and Facebook following the January 6th, 2021, riots in the U.S. Capitol. Facebook stated that Trump would be banned from using Instagram and Facebook for inciting violence. This was a violation to their terms of service.

It is unclear whether Trump will use the platform—though the former president was reinstated on Twitter last November, he has still not used his account, opting instead to use his own platform, Truth Social.  Trump spokeswoman did not immediately respond when we asked for comment.

Facebook CEO Nick Clegg Telled Axios Last month, Trump announced that his accounts would be reopened “in coming weeks,” However, he warned that there are still options for future bans. “We’ve always believed that Americans should be able to hear from the people who want to lead the country,” Clegg said Axios. “We don’t want to stand in the way of that.”

Trump has not posted any of his comments on the topic as of today’s writing Facebook Or Instagram These accounts have more than 50,000,000 followers each.
