Family Expects Stabbed Rand Paul Staffer To Make Full Recovery
According to his parents, Sen. Rand Paul’s( R-KY ) staff member who was attacked by a knife-wielding man in Washington, D.C., last weekend is expected to fully recover.
As reported by ABC online 7News, Chuck and Helen Todd released a statement on Wednesday providing an email on the health of their child, Phillip Todd, and requesting protection so they could concentrate on his recovery.
According to the police statement, Phillip Todd” was cruelly and randomly attacked by a knife-wielding individual who tried to kill him.” According to the announcement, the treatment of our son’s friend prevented the sores from being fatal.
The statement continued,” Our brother is in a stable condition after undergoing pain surgery to treat the scars in his body.” He already has a skull shift, which will be treated with non-invasive surgery. Due to his young age and good health, he is anticipated to make a complete recovery.
Todd was reportedly hurt in the stabbing incident on Saturday afternoon on H Street NE, according to the Metropolitan Police Department( MPD ). He also suffered injuries to his head, ear, and torso. According to an affidavit, the incident happened at random as Todd and a partner were leaving the hotel. Todd admitted to a detective that he didn’t understand the suspect and that, prior to the assault, neither of them had made any demands of Todd.
According to police, Todd’s partner tackled the assume to the floor, allowing Todd and the partner to flee and call for assistance. According to the affidavit, police used a mobile phone they found at the world to find and apprehend 42-year-old Glynn Neal of Southeast Washington, D.C., on Sunday. Neal has been accused of criminal assault with the intent to kill with a blade. On April 6, a preliminary hearing is scheduled.
Court records indicate that Neal was released from federal prison roughly 24 hours before the attack.

Todd’s parents thanked the officers, first responders, and for people for their assistance, as well as Senate Chaplain Reverend Black for praying over Phillip and everyone else who reached out with prayer and offered to help. They also expressed their gratitude to Paul and his chief of staff.
