Diners at the 24-hour breakfast spot in Florence, Alabama, were in for a surprise on Thursday when pop star Lana Del Rey showed up to work a shift at the restaurant.
The Grammy-nominated singer traded her usual glamorous attire for a blue polo shirt, white sneakers, and a yellow nametag that read “LANA.”
Video of Del Rey assisting a customer quickly went viral on social media, leaving fans in awe.

Karina Cisneros Juarez, an Alabama resident, couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw Lana Del Rey working at the Waffle House. She told AL.com, “It was a bit surreal. I just told her how much I loved her music and her work in general. She was super lovely and incredibly nice.”
Another witness shared on TikTok that they saw Del Rey serving a customer a cup of coffee and exclaimed, “What just happened?”

Macy Ladner, a fan, shared a photo of herself with Del Rey at the Waffle House on Facebook.
She later spoke with AL.com and said, “It was great! She was so down to earth and real with us. Talked with me and my friend about our jobs as teachers, about how she’s working on a new recording.”
