Fani Willis Accepts “Black History Achievement Award” at Atlanta Berean Church

Fani Willis, the ⁢district attorney of Fulton ‌County, Georgia, delivered a powerful⁤ speech⁤ at‍ the Atlanta Berean Church this weekend as she ‍accepted the prestigious “Black History Achievement ‌Award.”

“So when ‍I⁣ was invited here, it⁣ was really heartwarming because to ⁣me, this is family, ‍because family helps you when you’re up and when you’re down,” she said⁤ at the church ⁣on⁢ Saturday.

Willis, who recently faced intense questioning in court‌ regarding her relationship with‌ special prosecutor Nathan Wade in the case against former ‌President Donald Trump, ⁣expressed her gratitude for the unwavering ‌support she has‍ received from the⁣ Berean community.

“There⁢ are ‌things going on recently that I won’t talk about, but everybody did not embrace me during those⁤ times, and ⁣Berean has continued ⁢to ⁣embrace me,” Willis shared.

During her sermon, Willis reflected on a scripture that has been sent to her repeatedly: “No weapon ⁤formed ‍against you shall prosper.” ‌However,⁢ she emphasized‍ an important ⁣aspect that she had previously overlooked.

“They did not say the weapons will not form,” Willis explained. “And that’s the‌ part I didn’t hear until recently.”

Willis urged the congregation to⁢ understand that⁣ just because the⁢ weapons may form, it ⁢does not mean they will succeed.‍ She acknowledged the challenges she has faced and the mistakes she⁢ has made, but emphasized the importance of perseverance.

Despite ⁤the controversy surrounding her alleged⁣ affair with Nathan Wade, Willis stood confidently at the‍ church’s pulpit, delivering her message with⁢ conviction.

Trump co-defendant Mike Roman has accused Willis of benefiting financially from her relationship with Wade. However, Willis testified⁣ that she learned from⁤ her upbringing to keep cash at home, which was ‍confirmed by her father’s testimony.

Roman’s court filing seeks to disqualify ⁢both prosecutors and have the charges against him‍ dismissed.

Through it all, ‍Fani Willis remains ⁢steadfast, finding strength⁤ and support within the Atlanta ‌Berean Church community.
