Fans rush Electric Zoo music festival gates.
Electric Zoo Music Festival Ends in Chaos
The Electric Zoo music festival in New York City came to a chaotic end on Sunday as eager festivalgoers stormed the gates in an attempt to gain entry. The event had reached its capacity, leaving many disappointed fans outside.
“They are just storming! Oh my God! They’re just storming! I guess they can’t do anything. They are going to shut it down. This is insane,”
Social media was flooded with videos and photos capturing the moment when the crowd overpowered security guards and rushed towards the entrance. The festival organizers had no choice but to announce that they could not allow any more people onto the site.
Disappointment for Potential Attendees
Those who were hoping to attend the festival were left disappointed as the organizers made it clear that no additional attendees would be admitted.
“For the safety and well-being of everyone on site, we will not be admitting any additional attendees today. If you are on your way or were planning to come later, we kindly ask that you refrain from coming to the festival site,”
This announcement came as a blow to many who had been eagerly anticipating the event. Unfortunately, this was not the first setback for the Electric Zoo festival this year.
Setbacks and Delays
The festival had already faced challenges earlier in the year. On the first day of the festival, it had to be canceled due to “supply chain disruptions.” The second day started two hours late, and now the final day has been marred by the gate-storming incident.
Established in 2009, the Electric Zoo festival has become an annual tradition held in Randall’s Island Park, situated between the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx in New York City.
