‘Fascists’ And ‘Haters’ And ‘Bigots,’ Oh My! How Florida’s Decision To Ignore Woke Smears Is Building Confidence In Other States
Expect the woke Left of society to try and smear your as a “fascist” If you are against children being taught hatred about themselves and others due to their race, A Guardian op-ed recently We have been warned. It headlines the word “fascism” to describe Florida’s 2022 legislation This puts an end to some of the most divisive, abusive ideologies being forced into American school boards and boardrooms.
One of these curricula is Critical Race Theory (CRT), an especially destructive product in identity politics. It seeks to instill resentment, guilt, and hatred in Americans by continually preaching that America is the best. “white” Americans are irredeemably racist. It’s similar to coercive thoughts reform. But, those who oppose such psychologically manipulative programs appear to have encouraged many more Americans to support legislation like Florida’s.
The Guardian’s op-ed shows that agendas such as CRT supporters are responding to this outspokenness by demonizing more. They vilify anyone who doesn’t agree with such lessons plans for children and training for new employees. “Fascist” This is only one of many smear terms that Big Media uses to cut off conversations. Some others include “bigot,” “hater,” “white supremacist,” “domestic terrorist,” “Nazi,” “homophobic,” “transphobic,” “conspiracy Theorist,” etc.
Such demonization — backed up by a media monopoly — has tended to work because human beings have a primal fear of being isolated and ostracized. Whenever the defamation is amplified — with all opposing voices squashed — people tend to shut up or even lie about what they believe in order to avoid social derision and shunning. This conformity impulse is quite natural and therefore very important. Tyrants are not difficult to weaponize.
The tactic appears to be losing some traction. This could explain why similar legislation has been introduced in other states. When enough people are brave enough to speak out, defamatory tactics can lose their hold and become less effective. This is why identity-political activists now push labels like “fascist” Hyperdrive. They may be hoping that a new wave of demonization will incite a new wave of self-censorship.
Jason Stanley, a Yale professor whose books include titles such “Guardian,” wrote the Guardian Op-Ed. “How Fascism Works” And “How Propaganda Works.” Many Left-leaning people cite him as a authority on propaganda. Perhaps that’s because they know him well.
Stanley makes no argument to support his description of Florida. “Stop WOKE” Legislation as fascism. Rather, he couples an ad hominem attack with a false comparison of the Florida legislation — an act which serves to protect people from institutional indoctrination in divisive ideologies — with a blanket ban on woke books and authors. However, there is no threat of such a ban. These best-selling books are easily accessible to anyone. They are being promoted by a lot of media outlets and they don’t seem to be slowing down.
Stanley does not attempt to differentiate between political censorship of the public sphere of adult conversations and forced political indoctrination for the entire workforce.
He also fails to clarify the propagandistic nature that books and authors are, which includes Ibram X. Kendi, Ta-nehisi Coates, Nikole Hannah-JonesThere are many more. None of them will tolerate any alternative ideas being taught. (Stanley expressed this opinion). Acceptance with censoring (Those with whom he is at odds. Any child, parent, teacher, or executive who does not conform with the narrative — particularly if they claim not to be racist — can expect to be singled out as especially racist. Or white supremacists or fascists.
Therefore, CRT and other woke curricula actively suppress the speech of those who don’t agree with their extreme narratives. Wokeness is fundamentally a puritanical religion, which tolerates all dissent. For those who do not adhere to woke dogmas, severe punishment is common. Teachers are fired. Parents are taken into custody. Bullying of children is common. It is absurd to claim that Florida’s legislation amounts to a blanket ban on authors and ideas.
CRT’s proponents also fail to address one fundamental concern of its critics: their contempt for individualism as well as the worth of the individual human person. CRT is a form of identity politics that divides people according the oppressor’s status. CRT assigns identities to everyone, and individuality disappears. Human relationships suffer. And it’s even worse for children. Imagine how alienating this perspective can be for any child from any background, who just wants to make friends.
CRT is simply a way of preventing us from seeing each other as unique individuals, with their own perspectives, personalities and experiences. Kendi, for example, has stated that color blindness is “a mask to hide racism.” I can only imagine that this is precisely why Martin Luther King wrote it. The most famous quote is not to be
" Conservative News Daily does not always share or support the views and opinions expressed here; they are just those of the writer."
