Fauci Is at It Again
Anthony Fauci, the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director and chief medical advisor under the Biden administration, stated during a town hall discussion with Jim Acosta that another pandemic could occur soon. Fauci cautioned that “there will absolutely be an outbreak of another pandemic,” which could arise as early as next year or in future generations.
Despite Fauci’s warning, it is concerning that another pandemic could occur in an election year, which could benefit a specific political party.
Moreover, Fauci received backlash for defending the NIAID’s funding of gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Gain-of-function research was banned in the U.S. since 2014, but the NIH still funded it through a sub-grant from a larger grant to EcoHealth before the ban’s lifting by the Obama administration. Fauci countered by noting that EcoHealth Alliance, Inc. and the Wuhan Institute of Virology were conducting the research to study the animal-human interface and to determine if bat viruses could infect humans.
Fauci previously denied granting funds for such controversial research but now defends the funding instead of lying about it. This contradiction raises concerns and questions.
