Feel The Love: Trump 2.0 Is Making America The World’s Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day, patriots! 

Is there any better way to celebrate the life and legacy of an early Christian martyr — beaten and beheaded for his faith — than with chocolates, candlelight dinner, and champagne? 

How about reveling in America’s comeback after four years of leftist-led insanity? That’s enough to pop the cork and pour a full glass of the bubbly, or beverage of your choice. 

Less than a month into Trump 2.0, there’s much to love this Valentine’s Day. DEI is dying. Elon Musk is DOGEing. And America is reclaiming its borders and its rightful position as respected world leader. 

Feel the love.

The Left Keeps Losing … It’s Trump-Hating Mind 

From the aforementioned Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), to rooting out the real racism and sexism of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) cult, Trump is making Democrats look like chumps. Well, they don’t need much help on that front. But it sure has been fun watching these smug, self-righteous pronoun-ocrats shown the exit. 

It’s even more fulfilling to see them scream into the political wilderness of their own making. Democrats are holding rallies, protests, and lots and lots of press conferences to defend hundreds of billions of dollars in wasteful spending. To borrow from the Babylon Bee, how will Ecuadorian children know what “gender” they are without funding from the corrupt USAID?

The left’s well-orchestrated temper tantrums aren’t paying off. A new Rasmussen Reports survey finds that 55 percent of likely voters like what they see with Elon Musk in charge of federal government fat trimming. That includes 38 percent who “strongly approve.” The same people beating the drum on the “evils” of DOGE auditing the federal government’s books wanted 87,000 more IRS agents to shake down the American taxpayer. 

Time and Money 

Democrats are doing the time warp again. They think it’s 2020. But until they can cook up another Covid crisis, they’re stuck with 2025. While he couldn’t help himself, at least Airplane!’s Steve McCroskey acknowledged he “picked the wrong week” to stop sniffing glue. Dems have shown they are addicted to failed radical policies. 

Just this week, leftist Rep. Ayanna Pressley re-introduced a bill to study reparations for slavery. Doubling down on the Democrats’ divisive DEI indoctrination, Pressley ratcheted up the systemic racism rhetoric that has been such a winning issue for a party that now controls no branch of the government. 

“We find ourselves in a moment of emboldened white supremacy and anti-Black racism, and a weaponized Supreme Court that is actively gutting protections and progress that has been made,” Pressley, D-Mass., said in an “exclusive interview” with NBC News. 

After learning that their hard-earned tax dollars have reportedly gone to pay for a “transgender opera” in Columbia, “sex changes” in Guatemala, and electric vehicles for Vietnam, American taxpayers should be demanding reparations from the federal politicians and bureaucrats who approved such stupid expenditures. 

Will You Be My Schadenfreude?

It’s lovely to see Democrats and the self-important corporate media double down on the same losing agenda that cost them the White House and Congress in November. They vehemently believe that if they say Trump is a dictator and a threat to democracy enough times, it will be true. More so, they believe that Americans will believe them — the same outlets who have been spinning the truth dizzy for years. Or, as another Babylon Bee headline aptly — and hilariously — declared, “Democrats Warn Trump’s Unelected Shadow Government Is Dismantling Their Unelected Shadow Government.”

The Pravda Press was a witness to its own irrelevancy in November’s election. So what is it doing? Getting the “resistance” band back together. But the band, eight-plus years later, is more like the remaining bass guitar player from The Knack, bald up top, party in the back, using the old name to book dive bars and third-rate casinos. Case in point, a piece in the Atlantic by former Republican speechwriter and neocon narcissist David Frum blaming Americans and leaders like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for resisting Covid shots and lockdowns. 

“Five years later, one side has seemingly triumphed,” Frum opines in a lengthy column headlined, “Why The Covid Deniers Won.” “The winner is not the side that initially prevailed, the side of public safety. The winner is the side that minimized the disease, then rejected public-health measures to prevent its spread, and finally refused the vaccines designed to protect against its worst effects.”

Wow. Talk about being buried in the lie, and a losing one at that. But this is the same Never Trumper who wrote a piece just days after Trump was shot on the campaign trail effectively blaming the president for nearly being assassinated. Interestingly, Frum knows a thing or two about disinformation. As my colleague Hayden Daniel noted, “Frum enthusiastically played his part in goading the U.S. into invading Iraq in 2003,” and that “[l]ong after the allegations had been proven to be completely false, Frum still maintained that Saddam Hussein had possessed a treasure trove of [weapons of mass destruction].”

I ♥️ Respect

And it’s been sweet to see this country not get pushed around, to watch a president stand up for America first for a change. Of course, it’s easy to get squeezed when your commander-in-chief isn’t sure where he is, who he’s talking to, or where he’s hidden his kickbacks from the foreign “friends” of his crack-addicted son. But Trump surely is no Joe Biden. 

Looking at you, Panama. America wears the pants in this family, not communist China. #Trumpstrong. Yes, our actual No. 1 enemy China is miffed that Panama backed out of its infrastructure deal with Beijing after Trump told the keeper of the American-built canal where things stand. Take it up with the Monroe Doctrine, commies! As President James Monroe said more than 200 years ago: Stay out of our hemisphere.

Panama in a historic deal inked this week has agreed to take in illegal African and Asian migrants deported from the United States, CBS News reported Thursday. Somebody’s getting a Valentine’s Day card from the Trump administration. As should be abundantly clear to the left, Americans are squarely behind dealing with the border crisis that the left created. 

And despite camo-clad actor Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s blustering, it would appear a peace deal ending the catastrophic Russia-Ukraine war is closer at hand. Peace seems possible thanks to a president who means business and a defense secretary unlikely to go AWOL. Much of the world laughed at the great superpower for four long years. They’re not laughing now. 

I’m Lovin’ It

While the far left loves to hate Donald Trump, a majority of Americans like much of what they’re seeing in the opening weeks of the second Trump presidency. As The Federalist reported this week, a CBS News poll found Trump’s approval rating at 53 percent, with 70 percent of respondents saying the president is keeping his promises. Other polls show him just above or slightly underwater, but his approval rating is higher than it ever was during his first term. 

Success breeds approval. Time will tell. 

But right now there’s a lot to love about the seismic changes taking place in a country that for so long seemed to have lost its way — and its spark. In the words of the favorite fast-food restaurant of our Big Mac-loving president, I’m lovin’ it.
