Multiple Firefighters Rescued from Ship Fire at Port Newark

It was a harrowing scene at Port Newark in New Jersey as multiple firefighters found themselves in need of rescue due to a raging fire on a ship. The intensity of the situation was captured in a video that quickly spread on social media, showing the flames engulfing the back of the vessel and thick smoke billowing into the air. In the background, the urgent chatter of police radios added to the sense of urgency.

“One of the firefighters had his legs stuck, and crews were attempting to remove him from Port at End of Suez street. Crews search for multiple firefighters continues,” tweeted FreedomNewsTV’s Oliya Scootercaster.

The fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, creating a race against time to rescue the trapped firefighters. Thankfully, by Thursday morning, all of the brave responders had been successfully saved. However, the ordeal was not without its challenges. According to the Daily Voice, some of the firefighters required CPR, and one had to be rescued using a crane from an upper deck. The extent of their injuries remains unknown.

FDNY Assists in Rescue Operation

Coming to the aid of their fellow firefighters, the FDNY played a crucial role in the rescue operation. Their expertise and swift action undoubtedly contributed to the successful outcome of this dangerous situation.
