Jill Biden, First Lady, contracts COVID-19.
First Lady Jill Biden Tests Positive for COVID-19
In an unfortunate turn of events, First Lady Jill Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, as confirmed by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Monday night.
President Joe Biden, on the other hand, has received a negative result from his recent test.
“Following the First Lady’s positive test for COVID-19, President Biden was administered a COVID test this evening,” Ms. Jean-Pierre said in a statement. “The President tested negative.”

“The President will test at a regular cadence this week and monitor for symptoms,” added Ms. Jean-Pierre.
Fortunately, Mrs. Biden is currently experiencing only mild symptoms, according to a statement from her communications director, Elizabeth Alexander.
As she continues to recover and follow health guidelines, the first lady will remain at their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
It is worth noting that Mrs. Biden had previously tested positive for COVID-19 during the summer of 2022 while on vacation in South Carolina. The president had also tested positive in July of the same year. Both cases were considered rebound cases after receiving treatment with Paxlovid.
