First lady Melania Trump is featured on Hello! magazine’s front digital cover.

In the magazine article, Trump’s photographer and one of her most trusted advisers, Regine Mahaux, shared new insights and photographs of the first lady in an exclusive interview. Trump herself was not interviewed in it.

“There is something in her — the strong woman — but at the same time, there is the soft power; she’s really good at balancing her husband,” Mahaux said in an interview published Monday.

The feature article of the magazine is titled “Melania Trump 2.0 — Exclusive photos and insight as she returns as First Lady.”

The subheadline reads “In a world exclusive, FLOTUS’ inner circle take us behind the scenes to reveal how the president’s wife is back — and ready to take the world by storm.”

Mahaux was behind Trump’s White House portrait that was revealed last week.

“Looking directly into the camera and exuding a no-nonsense confidence, the new First Lady means business. Dressed in a sleek, crisp outfit that wouldn’t look out of place in an executive boardroom, this is Melania Trump 2.0, an impressive and independent strong woman who knows what she wants and how she’s going to get it,” Hello! magazine journalist Laura Benjamin wrote in her article of the portrait.

“With the world at her feet as her husband starts his second term as US President, the former model has grown hugely in confidence since she last set foot in the White House four years ago,” Benjamin added.

“She is ready to embrace the responsibility that comes with being one of the planet’s most recognisable women,” the journalist continued.

“She’s always been hands on, but she’s more free nowadays to make a statement,” Mahaux said to the magazine. “She’s a different person than she was eight years ago and has always been true to herself. This time, it feels like a different energy with new people that the President has surrounded himself with.”

Mahaux revealed the dynamic of the Trump marriage in how she sees her role in making her husband “first” and keeping their marriage “happy.”

“She’s always in the right place,” Mahaux said. “She’s always behind her husband. He’s in the light; she doesn’t need the light. She’s a very good number two. It’s always her husband first, and I like that; she has strong family values, to be a good wife and to make sure they’re happy.”

Hello! magazine’s exclusive featuring photos of Melania Trump and insights from one of her top advisers is a stark contrast from the vitriolic Vogue magazine commentary last week when the magazine’s writer Hannah Jackson accused the first lady of cosplaying The Apprentice in her White House portrait.

“The choice to wear a tuxedo — as opposed to a blazer or blouse — made Trump look more like a freelance magician than a public servant,” Jackson’s article read.

While Vogue has long been a fashion bible for the latest trends, it is also run by Anna Wintour, who has unapologetically attempted to prop up Democratic politicians as fashionable while shutting out the first lady for her Republican politics.

Former President Joe Biden spent his time wrapping up his presidency by giving a Presidential Medal of Freedom to Wintour.

Wintour’s Vogue magazine has featured former first ladies Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and former Vice President Kamala Harris on multiple magazine covers but no cover yet for the glamorous and fashionable current first lady. Trump previously was featured on and in numerous magazines during her modeling career.
