First US ammunition plane arrives in Israel after Hamas attack: IDF
The First U.S. Armament Shipment Arrives in Israel Amidst Deadly Hamas Attack
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the first supply of U.S. armaments arrived in Israel on Tuesday, marking the country’s first declaration of war since 1973. This comes in response to a brutal surprise attack by Hamas, where over 1,000 terrorists rampaged through southern Israel, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,000 Israeli civilians and the theft of military equipment.
The first plane carrying U.S. weapons landed at the Nevatim Airbase in southern Israel Tuesday evening, as the IDF expressed gratitude to the United States for its support during this challenging time.
The IDF did not disclose the specific types of weaponry received, but emphasized that they are designed to enhance military operations and preparedness for various scenarios.
“Our common enemies know that the cooperation between our militaries is stronger than ever and is a key part in ensuring regional security and stability,” stated the Israeli military.
The weapon shipment follows a brutal surprise attack in which more than 1,000 Hamas terrorists rampaged through southern Israel.
The attackers murdered more than 1,000 Israeli civilians, took hostages, engaged in rape and torture, and stole military equipment.
In response, Israel has launched its most intense bombardment of the Gaza Strip, the Hamas stronghold, and has implemented a “complete siege” of the area.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that at least 830 people have died in Gaza since the escalation began.
The IDF announced on Tuesday that dozens of fighter jets struck over 200 targets overnight in the Al-Furqan neighborhood in Gaza, which had been used as a terror hub by Hamas.
“This is the third strike in the area during the last 24 hours, in which the IDF struck over 450 targets,” the IDF stated.
The U.S. Department of Defense confirmed that it has bolstered its military force presence in the region to enhance deterrence. This includes deploying a carrier strike group to the eastern Mediterranean and increasing fighter aircraft presence.
National security advisor Jake Sullivan announced that military supplies, including interceptors for the Iron Dome missile defense shield, are already being sent to Israel.
“We’re also looking at other ways that we can help augment their air defense capabilities,” he said.
‘Act of Sheer Evil’
President Joe Biden condemned the attack as ”an act of sheer evil” that has claimed the lives of at least 14 American citizens.
He emphasized that Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people’s right to dignity and self-determination, as its stated purpose is the annihilation of Israel and the murder of Jewish people. He further criticized Hamas for using Palestinian civilians as human shields.
“Hamas offers nothing but terror and bloodshed with no regard to who pays the price,” President Biden added.
Former Israeli ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren described President Biden’s speech as “the most passionately pro-Israel in history,” affirming the president’s support for the Jewish state and its people.
Blinken to Visit Israel
Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, accompanied by a team of diplomats, will travel to Israel this week to coordinate with Israeli leadership in their ongoing war against Hamas. They are expected to depart from the United States on Wednesday and arrive in Israel on Thursday.
State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that the visit is crucial in ensuring that Israel receives the necessary diplomatic, economic, and military support for its self-defense.
“First and foremost, the secretary has been engaged with our Israeli partners to ensure that Israel has everything that it needs to defend itself,” Mr. Miller said during an Oct. 10 press briefing.
“It will be a message of solidarity and support. He, of course, wants to hear from the leaders of Israel.”
Mr. Miller also clarified that the United States has no plans to engage in military action or deploy ground troops, and the presence of an aircraft carrier in the region is intended to deter other powers from exploiting the situation.
“We do not have any plans for boots on the ground or military action at this point,” he said.

What steps does Biden believe both Israel and Hamas should take to address the root causes of the conflict
D,” Biden said. “They put their weapons in civilian areas, endangering innocent lives. This is unacceptable and must end.”
The U.S. government has expressed strong support for Israel in its right to defend itself against these attacks. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that Israel has the right to defend itself, and that the United States will fully support its right to do so.
“No country should have to endure relentless rocket attacks targeting civilians and cities,” Blinken said. “Israel has the right to protect its people from these attacks, and we stand with them in their efforts to do so.”
The international community has also condemned Hamas for its actions. The European Union issued a statement condemning the terrorist attacks and expressing solidarity with Israel.
“We stand in solidarity with Israel and its right to protect its citizens,” the statement read. ”Terrorism in any form is unacceptable and must be condemned.”
Meanwhile, protests have erupted around the world in support of both Israel and Palestine. In some cases, these protests have turned violent, with clashes between pro-Israel and pro-Palestine demonstrators.
The situation in Israel and Gaza remains tense, with no immediate resolution in sight. Both sides continue to exchange fire, and the death toll continues to rise.
The international community must come together to find a diplomatic solution to this crisis. It is essential that both Israel and Hamas cease all hostilities and engage in meaningful dialogue to address the root causes of the conflict.
Only through dialogue and compromise can a lasting peace be achieved in the region.
In the meantime, the United States will continue to provide support and assistance to Israel in its efforts to defend itself against further attacks. The arrival of the U.S. armament shipment is a clear demonstration of this commitment.
As the situation in Israel and Gaza continues to unfold, the world watches with concern. The hope is that a resolution can be reached soon, bringing an end to the violence and suffering that has plagued the
