Five California Laws that Are Totally Wacky Just Taken Effect

It’s January 1, which means five more woke laws in California go into effect, making the state even more progressive than it was.

Looks like the Left’s woke ideology will be continuing in 2023.

Governor. Gavin Newsom, a Democratic Senator from California, signed the first law in September. “sanctuary state” Transgender children

It will prevent the provision of medication or other surgical procedures. “gender-affirming care” Children who are from countries that restrict the ability of minors to have life-altering surgery may travel to California.

Senator Scott Weiner (D.Calif.), stated that the bill offers a variety of options. “refuge” Trans minors and their families “if they’re being criminalized in their home states.”

Abortion was on the top of many governors’ minds in 2022 with Republican states banning the procedure and Democrat states welcoming it with open arms.

SB 1375 allows nurses to perform abortions in their own homes without the assistance of a doctor. It was passed along with a referendum that guarantees the right to contraception and abortion.

According to the new law, nurses can perform the procedure without the supervision of a physician in the first trimester.

The Covid misinformation legislation is the third law which will take effect after the first. Signed in September, the law will require medical licensing boards in the state of California to take disciplinary action against doctors who are involved with the “dissemination of misinformation or disinformation related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, or ‘COVID-19’.

Newsom also signed a law decriminalizing jaywalking due to “racism.”

Titled “Freedom to Walk Act,” The law prohibits law enforcement officers from stopping pedestrians crossing the street at a crosswalk, unless they are in danger.

Jaywalking is a crime that is racist according to the law. It is unfairly enforced, so it is claimed. “communities of color” People who cannot afford the fines.

The fifth law, currently in limbo by the courts, concerns state control over fast-food restaurants.

The law would create a ten-member politburo, aka the Fast Food Council, which would serve for ten years,” allowing them to set wages and working conditions for the fast food industry.

The law has been rescinded after a group restaurant signatures were collected against it.
