The Peach State follows a specific schedule for distributing all payments of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) from the fifth to the 23rd of every month. And for the month of July, all beneficiaries can expect to receive their benefits by Sunday.
How SNAP Benefits are Distributed
SNAP benefits in Georgia are distributed to eligible recipients based on a formula and a set schedule. The day you receive your benefits depends on the last two digits of your client ID.
- Client IDs ending in 00-09 receive benefits on the fifth of the month.

Eligibility and Permitted Purchases
To be eligible for food stamps in Georgia, the maximum annual income depends on the size of your household. For a household of one, the maximum annual income is $18,954. For a household of five, the maximum annual income is $45,682.
As part of the food stamp program, recipients in Georgia can use their benefits to purchase food, groceries for meal preparation, and even seeds. Additionally, SNAP benefits can be used to buy ice, water, and room temperature foods that are “not designed to be consumed in the store.”
However, it’s important to note that prepared meals from grocery stores or restaurants are not eligible for purchase using SNAP benefits.
