August SNAP Payments⁤ for California Food Stamp Recipients

Exciting news for recipients of California food ⁤stamps, also known as⁢ CalFresh under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program! Your‍ August payment will be arriving in just⁣ one day.

The payment dates for August SNAP payments in the Golden State start⁣ on Tuesday and run through Aug. ⁣10.‌ The specific payment date depends on the last digit of your ⁢SNAP case number.

Payment Schedule:

  • If your case number ends in⁢ 1, expect your CalFresh benefits on Tuesday.
  • If your case number‌ ends in 2, CalFresh benefits will ‌be available on Wednesday.
  • Payment dates continue ⁤until​ Aug. 10, when those with a case ‍number ​ending in 0 will receive their⁣ payment.

The amount of SNAP benefits you receive is⁤ influenced by various factors, ⁤including household size, income limits, and additional assets.

In California, the average⁣ payment per eligible recipient is $196 per month. For a household of one person, the maximum payment is $281 each month. A household of four ‌can receive up to $939, while a household of eight‌ can receive up to $1,691. If you have more than eight household members, the CalFresh program‍ adds up to $211 for each additional member.

Nearly 5 ​million Californians, which is around 13%⁢ of the state’s population, receive⁢ CalFresh assistance each month, according to 2022 data from the Center on Budget and⁣ Policy Priorities.
