Rhode Island Residents to Receive SNAP Benefits in Three⁣ Days

Rhode Island residents participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are in for some good news.​ In just three days, ⁣they ⁣will receive all direct payments for the month of August. This‌ federal assistance⁣ program, commonly ‌known as ‌food stamps, will provide Rhode Island beneficiaries with up to $1,691 worth of benefits.

Next month’s benefits will arrive on Tuesday, ensuring that families have the support they need to put‍ food on the table. The amount received depends on the household size, ‌with ‍a maximum payment of $1,691 for a household of eight and $281 for a household of one. Each additional member in a Rhode Island household adds $211 to the SNAP benefits.
