This weekend, Rep. Pramila Jayapal, chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, appeared on CNN, where she was asked about the lack of international outrage over Hamas’ systematic rape of Israeli women. The horrifying accounts of Hamas rapes have been numerous. One survivor, Yoni Saadon, recounted how he witnessed a group of fighters brutally assaulting a woman, who pleaded for death rather than endure the torture. After they finished, they callously laughed and one of them shot her in the head.
Jayapal, in response, shockingly stated, “I think we have to be balanced about bringing in the outrages against Palestinians.”
Balance, it seems, is the key.
Balance in all things.
But what about the new reports emerging from hostages who experienced unimaginable horrors at the hands of Hamas in Gaza? According to the Daily Mail, these hostages were subjected to starvation, beatings, drugging, branding, and forced to watch footage of Hamas terrorists invading their homeland. They were even held alongside innocent civilians, blurring the line between Hamas members and the civilian population.
Yet, the question remains: Why can’t Israel meet their Jew-hating terrorist enemies halfway?

Increasingly, it seems that the Biden White House operates on a similar logic. However, they aren’t merely asking Israel to meet the Palestinians halfway; they’re demanding Israel to go 80% of the way. As Israel’s offensive against Hamas intensifies in Southern Gaza, the White House continuously pressures Israel to do a better job protecting civilians. This demand implies that Israel is somehow in the business of intentionally murdering civilians, which is far from the truth. In fact, Israel takes unprecedented precautions to avoid civilian casualties, surpassing any other modern army in history.
Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, emphasized this point, stating, ”When you have an enemy right on your border, and you’re doing everything to get the civilians of that enemy out of harm’s way, I don’t think any other country, including the United States, would take such great care.”
Despite Israel’s efforts, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin warned that Israel risks “strategic defeat” in Gaza, even if they achieve a “tactical victory.” Austin argues that Palestinians might be driven “into the arms of the enemy.” This creates a no-win scenario for Israel. If they eliminate Hamas, civilians will inevitably die, as Hamas intentionally uses them as human shields. If they don’t eliminate Hamas, Israel will suffer an actual defeat.
And yet, the White House seems determined to present Israel with no-win scenarios. They even encourage Israel to restore humanitarian aid into Gaza at the same levels as during the recent ceasefire. This move is not only politically foolish but also removes any incentive for Hamas to negotiate. Furthermore, the fuel the U.S. wants to ship into Gaza primarily benefits Hamas, and the media’s misrepresentation of the situation only adds to the confusion.
During an exchange with an IDF spokesman, a Sky News reporter berated him, claiming that residents couldn’t access the digital map of Gaza due to a lack of power. The IDF spokesman swiftly countered, reminding the reporter of the footage showing hostages being paraded through the streets upon their release, with hundreds of Gazans recording the event on their phones. Clearly, there is enough power to go around.
The Power of Perception: Weakness Invites Trouble
In a world where technology reigns supreme, even terrorists have caught on. They know that the power of perception can be just as influential as their actions. As the Sky News reporter discovered, their ability to broadcast their atrocities through smartphones is a chilling testament to their audacity.
But now, they’re taking it a step further. They’re using the same power of technology to gather intelligence, plan attacks, and spread their propaganda. The ease with which they can access maps, download information, and distribute their messages is alarming.
The White House, on the other hand, seems to be living in a fantasy world. The PA has proven time and again that it lacks control over its own people. It’s clear that the White House is aware of this reality, yet they continue to push their agenda. The radical Muslim world senses their weakness and is emboldened by it. Recent attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea, claimed by Houthi rebels backed by Iran, are a direct threat to international commerce and maritime security. The fact that they targeted the United States Navy, the guardian of the seas, shows their belief in America’s vulnerability.
Attacking the U.S. Navy: A Risky Move
Three commercial ships in the Red Sea were struck by ballistic missiles fired from Houthi-controlled Yemen on Sunday and a U.S. warship shot down three drones in self-defense during the hourslong assault, the U.S. military said. Responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Houthi rebels, who are backed by Iran. …
In a statement, U.S. Central Command said the attacks “represent a direct threat to international commerce and maritime security. They have jeopardized the lives of international crews representing multiple countries around the world.” It said the three commercial ships and their crews are connected to 14 countries.
According to Central Command, the USS Carney, a Navy destroyer, detected a ballistic missile fired from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen at the Bahamas-flagged bulk carrier Unity Explorer. The missile hit near the ship. Shortly afterward, the Carney shot down a drone headed its way, although it’s not clear if the destroyer was the target. The drone was also launched from Yemen.
Under normal circumstances, such an attack would be seen as an act of supreme idiocy. However, the terrorists believe they can exploit America’s perceived weakness. And they may have good reason to think so.
Recent polls reveal a concerning trend. While 50% of Americans approve of Israel’s military action in Gaza, there is a stark partisan divide. Only 36% of Democrats support Israel’s actions, compared to 71% of Republicans. Furthermore, younger Americans and people of color are less likely to support Israel. This sympathy for terrorism within the Democratic Party’s base is not lost on the terrorists.
To make matters worse, domestic Muslims are mobilizing against the Biden administration. Leaders from swing states are launching an #AbandonBiden campaign, aiming to ensure his defeat in the 2024 election. While their grievances may be legitimate, it’s important to note that some of these leaders have their own troubling histories.
This is precisely the kind of chaos the terrorists are hoping for. They want to sow doubt and division among Americans, making them question their support for Israel. It’s a strategy that Osama Bin Laden himself employed in the 1990s, viewing America as a “paper tiger” that could be defeated with enough blows.
The truth is, the United States cannot afford to be perceived as weak. Our national security and global influence depend on projecting strength and resolve. It’s time for our leaders to recognize this reality and take decisive action to protect our interests.
Bin Laden’s Strategy to Gain American Attention

This tactic seems to be working, especially with members of the political Left. That’s why members of the Progressive Caucus have to downplay the mass rape of women — because they want to cave in precisely the way Hamas, the Houthis, and Iran wish them to cave, but they don’t want to lose all moral credibility. So instead, they sort-of condemn rape — but they have to make sure to retain balance.
Cowardice requires balance, after all.
How can the United States assert its strength and leadership on the global stage, prioritize the security of its citizens, and build strong alliances against radical ideologies
