Foreign Affairs Chairman: If China Takes Over Taiwan They’ll Have ‘Most Dominating’ Economy, Military

The chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Michael McCaul( R-TX ), stated on Sunday that Taiwan would become the most powerful economic and military power in the world if communist China were to conquer it.

McCaul said this while discussing his recent trip to Taiwan, where the Chinese army surrounded the beach to perform military drills, in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on” Sunday Morning Futures.”

We have every right to meet with President Tsai and express our support to stand with Taiwan against … in the face of aggression ,” McCaul declared.” We won’t let that deter us or sway us in any way. We saw this after Afghanistan fell, when Putin invaded Ukraine, and now that Chairman Xi is threatening Taiwan and the Pacific Islands. As you mentioned, weakness invites aggression. This is all I’ve’ve seen from this administration.

McCaul claimed that the Biden administration was doing a grave mistake by not working harder to sell weapons systems that Taiwan had previously purchased from the United States and which are essential for fending off an impending war.

Tension is stopped and love is promoted by deterrent. Rest assured that Chairman Xi may perform that estimate if we lack deterrent in Taiwan, just like we do in Ukraine. If he is unable to sway the upcoming Chinese national election,” he may switch to arrange B and either blockade or launch a military invasion of the island.” Therefore, deterrent is crucial.

If China invaded Taiwan, the communist country would take control of Taiwan’s’s potent semiconductor manufacturing facilities, which are responsible for 90 % of the most sophisticated computers in the world.

In reference to what may occur if they were to effectively capture the beach, McCaul declared that” China would be the most dominating economic and military pressure on the planet.”

McCaul responded that he thinks China will initially try to interfere with the new elections of the island nation when asked if they might hear something next year to take control of Taiwan.

He claimed that before that national vote in January, the former chairman of Taiwan had already met with the PRC in China to discuss their preferred candidate. ” If they win and have an impact on the election, they will triumph silently, much like Hong Kong. If they fail, they switch to arrange B, which, in my opinion, would probably be a blockade-style situation in which they cut the ocean cable. There was a significant digital party on the island, and they shut it down, cut off all access to food and water for just one month before taking control.
