Former Child Star Amanda Bynes Released From Mental Health Facility After Reported Naked Incident In L.A.
Amanda Bynes, former child star, was released from a Southern California hospital on Monday after a three week treatment, as reported by The Daily Wire. Bynes was placed on psychiatric hold last month after she was found walking naked on the streets of Los Angeles. The initial 72-hour hold was extended until Monday. An eyewitness stated that Amanda seemed out of it and asked a woman to hold her. She was dropped off at her supposed friend’s place in Beverly Hills, but the friend did not answer. Her boyfriend reportedly kicked her out and Bynes asked to be dropped back off on Hollywood Boulevard where the woman obliged.
Bynes’ personal conservatorship was terminated last year after a petition from Bynes herself to dissolve the arrangement. A personal conservatorship for Bynes remained in place from 2013 until March of 2022. Her estate conservatorship was terminated in 2017, and her father served as trustee, while her mother took care of her medical and personal matters. The judge who terminated the conservatorship found that the arrangement was no longer necessary.
After the conservatorship ended, Bynes’ attorney said she was excited about living independently while partaking in an outpatient treatment plan. Bynes was set to appear at 90s Con in Connecticut last month with other popular stars from that time, but cancelled due to an unspecified illness.
TMZ reports that Bynes will now return home and take part in an outpatient treatment.
