Fox News settles costly lawsuit linked to Tucker Carlson’s controversial remarks.

Fox News Settles Lawsuit with Former Producer Over Hostile Work Environment

Fox News has reached a settlement in a lawsuit filed by a former producer who alleged that she was subjected to a toxic and hostile work environment. The company will pay Abby Grossberg, a former producer for “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” a total of $12 million, according to Axios.

Grossberg had made claims of sexism and anti-Semitism before her termination. She stated that there were conversations in the office that deemed women with tattoos, piercings, or colored hair as disgusting.

Furthermore, Grossberg revealed that the comments made by Carlson’s team and his lieutenants in the office were consistent with what was aired on the show and seen by the public.

The network initially dismissed her claims as baseless, but ultimately decided to settle the lawsuit. Grossberg also accused Fox News of pressuring her to provide misleading testimony in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against the network.

In April, Fox News settled the Dominion lawsuit for $787 million and removed Carlson from his top-rated primetime show. A judge in New York has accepted the settlement between Fox News and Grossberg, officially closing the case.

Grossberg had worked with both Carlson and Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo during her time at the network. Carlson stated that he had never met Grossberg in person as he primarily worked remotely.

A representative for Grossberg confirmed that she had never met Carlson either, as he spent most of his time at his homes in Florida and Maine.

“We are pleased that we have been able to resolve this matter without further litigation,” said a Fox News spokesman in a statement.

Grossberg expressed her satisfaction with the settlement, stating that she was heartened by Fox News taking her claims seriously. She also expressed hope that the resolution would lead to positive changes in the network’s treatment of women and minorities in the workplace.

“I am hopeful, based on our discussions with Fox News today, that this resolution represents a positive step by the Network regarding its treatment of women and minorities in the workplace,” Grossberg said.
