Full Video Of Idaho Murder Victims Reportedly Hours Before Slayings Released
Surveillance video believed to have been taken the night that four University of Idaho students were murdered in an off-campus residence has been fully released for the first time.
The video, obtained by leaders of a Facebook group dedicated to solving the slayings and provided exclusively to Fox News, shows victims Kaylee Goncalves and Maddie Mogen in the early mornings on November 13, just hours before the friends were murdered along with their roommate Xana Kernodle and her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin.
A man can be seen walking with the girls and appears to be the same man seen near them when they stopped at a food truck. Police have said this man is not believed to be connected to the crime.
The woman believed to be Goncalves can be heard saying “Maddie, what did you say to Adam?” Mogen responds, “Like, I told Adam everything.”
Goncalves’ father, Steve, told Fox News’ “Lawrence Jones Cross Country” on Saturday that Adam is not a suspect.
“We asked and did the obvious due diligence, and we looked into that, and it was pretty clear that this individual was not a part of the investigation as far as a suspect,” he told the outlet.
Kristine Cameron and Alina Smith, who run the Facebook group “University of Idaho Murders – Case Discussion,” provided the video to Fox News, telling the news outlet that they first gave the video to Moscow, Idaho, police.
Police have said Goncalves and Mogen left the Corner Club bar around 1:30 a.m. on November 13 before walking to the food truck and getting a ride back to their off-campus residence. The man who drove them home is not believed to be connected to the murders.
Police responded to a call around noon on November 13 about an unconscious person at an off-campus residence. When they arrived, they found the four students stabbed to death.
Police still have not named any suspects or found the murder weapon.
Authorities have also said they do not believe that the two surviving roommates – who apparently did not hear the murders take place – are involved in the crimes.
Police also continue to seek the occupants of a white 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra that was seen in the immediate area of the off-campus residence where the murders took place in the early morning hours of November 13. The occupants have not been named as suspects but police do believe they may have critical information regarding the case.
“If you know of or own a vehicle matching this description, or know of anyone who may have been driving this vehicle on the days preceding or the day of the murders, please forward that information to the Tip Line,” police said in a press release earlier this month.
