Gaines calls World Athletics ban ‘huge first step,’ shifts focus to protect young girls’ sports
Riley Gaines praised the World Athletics’s banning of biological males who identify as transgender women from competing in female sporting events, but she said protecting younger girls’ sports must be a priority.
Gaines, a former champion swimmer and proponent of women’s sports, described the World Athletics ballot banning transgender women as” a small piece of good news” while speaking about the Ingraham Angle.
WORLD Athletics prohibits trans women from competing in feminine functions.
This is enormous. This is truly gigantic, according to Gaines. It is never easy to be the first to get a risky action that defies the awoke fad. This is a significant second step in the right direction for World Athletics.
She did, however, issue a warning that” the play and the fight to preserve children’s sports is nowhere near finished.”
What about those little ladies, you ask? Gaines inquired. What about the girls vying for sites on scholarships? We must make it a top concern to safeguard them as well.

Gaines asserted that in order for there to be more change, female athletes will need to make brave decisions to abstain from market.
Morris remarked,” I never want to hold the ladies accountable or force them to give up their positions.” However, that is what it will require. To resist this, we need more women and girls, sexual athletes, in this situation where they are up against biological men. I am aware of how difficult and courageous it is.
