Gary Rossington, founding Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist, dies age 71

Gary Rossington, one Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Members who were founding has died At the age of 71 the band made Sunday’s announcement.

Rossington is well-known for using his slide guitar to perform the song “The Band’s Most Popular Song”. “Free Bird,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s final surviving member. The famous plane crash of 1977 that killed him was his last. that killed Ronnie Van Zant (band members) and Steve Gaines (backup singer Cassie Gaines, Steve’s sibling), Dean Kilpatrick (road manager), and both pilots.
