Maryland
The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Maryland also decreased on Thursday, coming in at $3.139 per gallon, slightly less expensive than Wednesday’s price of $3.146. Gas prices in the state are also lower than a week ago, when a gallon of regular gas was $3.201. However, similar to Virginia, regular gas in Maryland was more expensive on Thursday than a month ago, when drivers in the state paid gas $3.07 per gallon.
Delaware

Washington, D.C.

However, despite the increase, gas prices in the nation’s capital are more expensive than a week ago, when regular gas was two cents higher, coming in at $3.306. The price of gas in Washington remain cheaper than a month ago, however, when regular gas cost residents in the district $3.354 per gallon.
Texas
Texas is now the state with the most inexpensive gas in the nation, edging out Mississippi, and more recently, Georgia, who held this honor a week ago. A gallon of regular gas in the Lone Star State now costs $2.712 on Thursday, a slight drop from Wednesday’s price of $2.72 per gallon. The price of gas in Texas is just slightly less expensive than in Mississippi, where the cost for a gallon of gas on Thursday is $2.714.
California
There are no challengers for the state with the most expensive gas in the nation, as California continues to hold that distinction on Thursday. The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Golden State is $4.613. The state with the next highest prices is Hawaii, which comes in at a little more than two cents cheaper at $4.591.
